David Pierce, MD is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who practices in Buffalo, NY.
Dr. Pierce graduated from New York Medical College in 2000 and completed his residency at State University of New York at Buffalo in 2006. Dr. Pierce currently holds the position of Vice President and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Millard Fillmore Suburban (MFSH) and DeGraff Memorial Hospitals (DMH). As an emergency medicine physician, Dr. Pierce is committed to providing the highest quality patient care, leading patient experience initiatives for both Millard Fillmore Suburban and DeGraff Memorial Hospitals.
Prior to advancing into this leadership position, Dr. Pierce held a position as quality and patient safety medical officer, while serving as an attending emergency medicine physician at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Dr. Pierce also holds positions as medical education coordinator and attending physician in emergency medicine for FDR Medical Services, P.C., adjunct teaching faculty Harvard Medical School/Harvard Business School, and is an assistant professor of clinical emergency medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Dr. Pierce has a passion for teaching and excellence in medicine demonstrated through his continued research, clinical teaching, publications, and numerous presentations provided across the academic, medical, and local communities. Dr. Pierce is an active member of several sections of the ACEP and holds numerous professional appointments.
